Alexis Rufi joined the Washington Innocence Project in 2022 as a Paralegal. Previously, she served two years in AmeriCorps with the Northwest Immigrant Rights Project in Seattle, WA. Her professional background is in legal advocacy and activism with respect to advancing intersectional justice movements. While in school, Alexis interned with several immigration law non-profits representing unaccompanied immigrant minors and volunteered as a sexual assault/ domestic violence crisis advocate. She received her B.A. in Philosophy and a Concentration in Latin American Studies from St. Olaf College.
