Kate Miller joined the Washington Innocence Project as a Staff Attorney in 2021. Previously, she served as an appellate public defender in Chicago and as an advocacy fellow at the Korematsu Center for Law and Equality at Seattle University School of Law, where she helped coordinate the Washington Task Force on Race and the Criminal Justice System. She is an alumna of the University of Chicago Law School and its wrongful convictions clinic, the Exoneration Project. Outside of work, Kate volunteers as a legal observer for the National Lawyers Guild and as a mentor for LGBTQ law students.
