Dink for Innocence

June 14, 2026

We are excited to announce a fun, new way for you to support the Washington Innocence Project — from a different kind of court.

We recently met with the team at 501(PB) about doing a fundraiser.

501(PB) hosts fun, friendly pickleball tournaments “for people that play with heart.” Each tournament raises money for a specific non-profit — and they have chosen WashIP as their next featured charity!

People love to play pickleball and love knowing their tournament fee can make a difference, so these tournaments fill up fast. Because you’ve been a great supporter in the past, we are giving you a chance to sign up before 501(PB) invites their community. To ensure everyone gets ample playing time, they are capping the event at 38 players, so grab your spot fast!

Here are the details:

Date: June 14, 2026
Time: 1:30-5:30 pm
Location: Mercer Island Community Center
Fee: $85

Plus, once you sign up, you’ll have the opportunity to bid in advance on fun advantages on tournament day (like choosing your starting court or your first round partner).

In case you’re wondering, you should sign up solo. Partners will be assigned and will rotate throughout the tournament. All levels from beginner to advanced are welcome. So whether you’re practically a pro or need to borrow a paddle to play, we want you there!

If you have questions you can email 501(PB) directly at thekitchen@501pb.com

Hope to see you on the court!

Stand for Innocence

October 1, 2026

Save the Date
Washington Innocence Project’s 12th Annual Stand for Innocence will take place on Thursday, October 1st, 2026 at The Triple Door in Seattle.

It’s going to be a night you do not want to miss as we come together to support justice and honor the work to free the wrongfully convicted.

Stand for Innocence is our primary fundraising event of the year. 85% of our operating budget comes from individual donations, foundation grants, and the support of our community partners to fight on behalf of Washington’s wrongly convicted. We do not receive funding from the Innocence Project in New York City, nor does any other innocence organization.

Mark your calendars now, every year this event sells out!
Join our mailing list and you’ll be among the first to know about this incredible event! We can’t wait to see you all there.
